Monthly Membership Meeting
This month's program will feature epiphytic cactus of the genus Rhipsalis and other closely related genera. Rhipsalis originate in the jungles of Brazil. Their interesting foliage provides a unique contrast to epiphyllums.
We'll also cover Lepismium, Hatiora, Rhisalidopsis and Schlumbergera. Most of these bloom during the winter and early spring, earning them the nickname of "Holiday Cactus" "Christmas Cactus" and "Easter Cactus." Growing them makes a fine complement to epiphyllum hybrids, as they bloom during other seasons when our epies are not in bloom.
The program was produced by Linda Sinkovic and will be presented by ESA President Robert Kuette.
